Identification based on the chart in MVS N305 (1957) looks correct but there is no mira with range 13.3 - <16.1 p at that position. 2MASS magnitudes are too faint for a red star with V= 12.6 (J= 10.18; K= 8.80). J-K is 1.38 but B-V from APASS is only 1.09 (infrared excess). Some discrepant magnitudes in the literature: V= 14.45 (YB6); V= 15.12 (NPM2). Magnitudes contaminated by 2MASS J19133655-0155059 (V= 16.6 in YB6; J-K= 0.91; sep. 6"). Range has been corrected. ASAS-3 data confirm there is no mira at this position, but a star showing semiregular pulsations. Sonneberg plates investigated by Klaus Häussler show a long-term mean magnitude change consistent with the larger range. |
