Two stars of similar magnitude 8.5" apart. The finding chart in the original publication (1943BAN.....9..337F) identifies the variable as the blend of the two. Current identification comes from 2000A&A...357..871C which (unlike the GCVS identification up to September 2013) points to the NW component. ASAS-3 and APASS magnitudes are contaminated by the close companion 2MASS J18502325-2739335 (V= 15.4 derived from UCAC3 and CMC14). Range has been corrected. |
