2 Wils, Patrick 2009-10-28 03:08 UTC The chart from Swope [1932BHarO.887....6S] indicates GSC 6817-187 as the variable (at 16 46 51.07 -27 24 28.0), different from both the GCVS (GSC 6817-577 at 16 46 35.21 -27 23 16.8) and the Downes position (GSC 6817-786 at 16 46 45.89 -27 24 25.8). According to ASAS-3 data, GSC 6817-577 seems to be the only variable among them. The position in the discovery paper 16 40 23 -27 12.4 (for equinox 1900, or 16 46 36 -27 23.4 precessed to 2000) [1905AN....167..161P] is also closest to GSC 6817-577.
