The star is most probably not variable. Extended runs on 26 nights from July 11. to Septender 5. 2011 showed no variation exceeding the scatter estimated to +/-0.02 mag.
This was confirmed by 3 more BAV observers.
A contact to the author of the cited reference yielded that the variability announcement was probably due to inadequate photographic plate material.
