1 Discovery images Prestgard, Trygve 2018-08-06 19:08 UTC IRAS 18044-2420 is a Planetary Nebula mimic: Its appearance in WISE and Pan-STARRS1 (as well as its strong Halpha signal) is very typical of PNe. The variability and 2MASS colours are in favour of a YSO.
