1 Roberts, Richard The 457 day period determined from ASAS-3 data was derived during a time of maximum period length. Since JD 2,422,000, RV Cen has exhibited periods ranging between 457 and 434 days with a mean period of 446 days in all of the AAVSO visual data. Since Jan 2012, the period is near a low of 437 days.

3 446 day phase plot - all AAVSO Data Roberts, Richard 2021-07-24 14:21 UTC 446 day phase plot of all AAVSO visual data
2 recent 437 day phase plot Roberts, Richard 2021-07-17 17:32 UTC phase plot of AAVSO visual data from Jan 1st, 2012 to present. This period 437 day period was derived from Fourier analysis and fits better than the 446 day period over this time frame. This is expected from the plot of period vs time as the star is near a period low in its cycle.
1 RV Cen Period vs Time Roberts, Richard 2021-07-17 17:28 UTC RV Cen Period vs time using all AAVSO visual data. Shows the 457 day period high and current lows around 434 days
