NML Cyg. 17.0m: - 18.0m V, B>21M; I - K = +8.17. Very large IR exess due to expanding gaseous-dust envelope. In the area 2.5"*3.5" around the star the system of about 60 discrete sources of OH emission is detected [R.D.Davies, M.R.Masheder, R.S. Booth, Nature Phys SCI, 237, 21, 1972.]; source of OH, H2O, SiO maser emission. Light variations are periodical (see also [G.V.Khozov, T.N.Khydyakova, V.M. Larionov, L.V.Larionova, Tr. Astron. Obs. Leningrad 34, N397, 68, 1978.]). The object may be a protostar being observed at the end of condensation process. The late spectrum arises probably in the extending envelope [G.H.Herbig, ApJ 189, 75, 1974., J.J.Daniel, AsAp 111, 58, 1982.]. |
