1 Otero, Sebastian Alberto The closest (1.2") bright star to this object's position is OGLE BUL-SC07 74404 which is constant at Ic= 16.85 (V= 18.5). However there is a source 2.7" away (OGLE BUL-SC07 74835 at 18 08 53.62 -32 00 21.8) that happens to show irregular 2.2 mag. variability (16.8 - 19.0) in Ic too (and was named as OGLEII- DIA BUL-SC07 V0911). It is the bluest star in the area with V-Ic= 0.91. The rapid variability seems hard to explain and it might be an artifact caused by mutual contamination of two sources. In any case, there is no RR Lyrae star here as originally claimed.
