The 457 day period determined from ASAS-3 data was derived during a time of maximum period length. Since JD 2,422,000, RV Cen has exhibited periods ranging between 457 and 434 days with a mean period of 446 days in all of the AAVSO visual data. Since Jan 2012, the period is near a low of 437 days. |
