1 Otero, Sebastian Alberto G4V companion 3.2" away. A= 7.82V; B= 9.4V. Combined magnitude given in the table.
2 Renz, Wolfgang QS Ser is one of the several dozens of false variables introduced by the HIP cataloge. The false ~ 1/4 mag "variations" in the HIP data are due to the close companion (the mag differences of the HIP obs show exactly the flux differences between the brighter star alone and both components combined. The false ~ 1 mag "jumps" in the HIP obs doublets with ~ 20 min spacings are due to how the star transited across the coded mask in front of the detector combined with the spinning of the spacecraft and its orbit.

5 Otero, Sebastian Alberto 2016-04-05 04:36 UTC Type from ASAS-3 data. Magnitude from HIPPARCOS, ASAS-3 and GCPD data. Spectral type from 1999MSS...C05....0H.
4 Admin, VSX 2010-01-05 04:43 UTC Position updated from the GCVS version of November 2009.
3 Admin, VSX 2009-09-30 01:25 UTC Constant star. Binarity led to false conclusions about variability.
2 Admin, VSX 2007-03-23 19:53 UTC Added spectral type from [1997yCat.1239....0E].
1 Admin, VSX 2005-12-18 01:33 UTC Initial database population.
